Two companies have acquired the product in partnership, one of which operates in the US and the other in Germany, two of the biggest milk production and processing industry players.

SAP commissioned the development of a product equivalent to an existing solution, SAP ERP R/3 - SAP Dairy Management by msg, using a new technology package. Although this stack had already been integrated into another application, SAP - SAP S/4HANA, its principles did not allow the implementation of a product conversion process for the new use. So msg developed a new product, SAP Dairy Management by msg for SAP S/4HANA.

For the msg team, this project involves providing software development and consulting services to meet the requirements of existing customers and adapting the product to technology trends in the industry. The product covers the activity in the entire milk production and processing process, from the reception of raw materials to the processing of finished products.

Beyond the opportunities and challenges brought by this project, our team had the chance to strengthen their ABAP Programming Model development expertise in the context of SAP S/4HANA and enrich their business knowledge regarding the milk production and processing industry.
