HAD - Highly Autonomous Driving
The HAD project is a building block in the context of autonomous driving and works as a complement to the whole process and decision-making procedures in the vehicle. It represents a step forward in what IoT and Big Data processing entails for us, msg systems, and our customer.
Currently, the product provides coverage for Western Europe, with a process of expansion into Central Asia (China) and the United States starting this year.
HAD essentially covers the following functionalities:
- Generating and providing a map, designed for mapping data from the Highly autonomous driving car ecosystem.
- Recognition of weather conditions at roadway level, based on a set of data coming directly from car sensors.
- Detection of construction sites based on events transmitted by the cars in the system.
- Communication of real-time events from the HAD system to the fleet of autonomous cars.
- Processing, analyzing, and storing sensor data for further analysis or development of new Use-Cases.

IoT application for the automotive industry
One of Germany's largest car manufacturers uses a platform based on Internet of Things technologies to deliver a superior driving experience. The platform simplifies and automates everyday operations, providing the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of user behavior through available statistics and last but not least, shares recommendations that facilitate carbon reduction.
This project is more than a platform, incorporating innovative digitalization and IoT technologies to transform the concept of a car into an infotainment space, elevating its utility. The car is not just a means of transport, it is a smart gadget that serves multiple activities, throughout its use and beyond.
The services available to the user can be accessed in mobile, web and on-board computer interfaces, facilitating a variety of operations:
- Performance and safety during travel
- Protecting your vehicle against theft
- Locating a stolen vehicle
- Reducing emissions
- Monitoring and automating operations
This platform is developed by msg and has been adopted by several brands in the client's product portfolio. With its help, thousands of drivers and passengers drive more safely and efficiently.

Quality Management
An application that aligns the work of 40,000 people, in 45 countries, under the same quality standards. .msg Group created it for one of the world's largest car manufacturers, and it is proving its worth every day.
Its scope defines the processes for ensuring the quality of parts before they go into production, both for the car manufacturer and the suppliers working for it
The current state of the end-product is based on a project launched almost 20 years ago, msg being a trusted collaborator for the car manufacturer all this time. We are proud to have reached the state of the art for our final product, currently based on a set of applications and microservices with a Java-specific tech stack and Cloud technologies. The frontend involves React-centered frameworks. The project is being developed in an Agile and DevOps manner, there is no lack of automated testing and a rigorously defined CI/CD pipeline.
